Inuit script on the ice
In April 2005,
Spectral Q Productions, at the request of the
Inuit Circumpolar Conference, created a human aerial art image on the disappearing arctic sea ice to call the world’s attention to the devastating impact of global warming on the existence of the Inuit people around the Arctic Circle (for more detail, see Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's
news article). A short Inuit language message written in Inuit script, meaning of which is "LISTEN", is added to an English message "ARCTIC WARNING". Inuit script is added to UCS/Unicode as a part of "Unified Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics"(U+1400--U+167F), but not yet implemented in the most recent version of Windows or other major platforms. To learn more about Inuit script, and to download Inuit script font, please see
Attavik site which I reported in this corner before. See
"Inuit script on the web".

I am looking for a nice Sanskrit naming for "language resource". Many of Asian languages share their vocabularies originating from Sanskrit words. Even Japanese is not an exception. Many Buddhism-origin Japanese words are borrowed words from Sanskrit. That's why I am looking for ...
Our colleague, Assistant Professor Makiko Matsuda of Foreign Student Center, kindly taught me how to use
online version of the famous Sanskrit dictionary Apte. She suggested me several sanskrit words to start with.
bhaaSaa
cakra
jaala
arNa
Please try to find out the meaning of these words!
