Let me share some thoughts with you about Nagaoka university life.

Well  if I say I have everything that I need where I live in. It is mostly true. I am a simple person and prefer a simple life style. So I feel special in Nagaoka. I think  everyone is special in Nagaoka. There is always some one willing to help if we need a helping hand. Everybody knows us in the university. Even if they don't know you around in the town still they treat you with utmost care and kindness. It is greener at the Nagaoka campus than I was expecting, with less traffic and noise than I have ever experienced, this place makes an excellent place for studies. I have inspired by the serenity of the Japanese country side and Japanese way of life which induce creativity for research work. University environment always encourages and supports multicultural events, and I find often people are very friendly towards foreigners, It is ironical in such a cold place where snow falls up higher and higher people have such a warm hearts. I have travelled around high-tech Japan and beautiful country side but it is a wonder that my heart always lure me back to Nagaoka where I belong to and where I feel cosy.

There is something unexplainable about the university that makes us enjoy the bliss of solitude. I think this is the ideal place for research work away from other distractions. Our lab is multi cultural. We are free to move around. Such a freedom I have never experienced before as a university student. I have studied in three universities in my life. One in my country and other in London, But I have never ever felt that, we, students belong to a kind of family as we belong now. Our laboratory is not just a laboratory but it is a big family.

We speak different languages, we enjoy different life styles; We belive in differnt religions. enjoy  differnt food and appreciate differnt fashion, but still we all share a mutual understanding. We respect each other, we care for each other, help each other and love each other in our very own special way. Our lab is a great example for multicultural ethnicity living in harmony.
